What to take with you to a remote island?

We’ve all heard the question before: what would you take with you to a desert island?  But you shouldn’t worry—our cabins have electricity, running water, and fully equipped kitchens, so you don’t need to prepare anything unusual. However, if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors, it’s good to bring a few extra items to enhance your stay. Just keep in mind: while you may encounter nearly 24 hours of sunshine, the weather changes quickly in the archipelago, so warm clothing is advised!

What we will prepare for you.

Before packing, let's go through what each island already provides to make your stay more convenient:

  • Electricity & running water
  • Fully equipped kitchen providing everything needed for cooking and dining
  • Minibar available in each cabin
  • Complementary coffee & tea selection
  • Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel
  • Fresh linens
  • Wi-Fi to stay connected if needed
  • Basic medicine such as painkillers, allergy medicine, and insect spray
  • Books, board games & puzzles for downtime and rainy days
  • Binoculars for spotting wildlife and scenic views

What we recommend you bring with you.

  • Comfortable clothing – Pack casual clothes suited for relaxation and light outdoor activities.
  • Swimwear – For enjoying the sauna or a refreshing dip in the sea.
  • Shoes with good grip – The terrain is rocky and uneven and can be slippery, including boat decks. Proper footwear with good grip is recommended for safety. Waterproof shoes are always good to have.
  • Sunscreen & sunglasses – Days are long in the warm months—protect yourself from the sun!
  • Warm clothing and long underwear – Although you may get sunshine every day, weather changes quickly in the archipelago and nights can be chilly.
  • Waterproof jacket – For wet weather and boat trips

Food & Drink

  • Dining Options – Feel free to bring your own ingredients and cook as you desire, whether indoors, over an open  barbecue or using our fish smoker. Alternatively, entrust our skilled chefs to prepare seasonal local cuisine for you for a more luxurious experience.
  • Grocery Shopping – There is a larger grocery store on the way to the island, so we recommend buying most of your groceries there before arriving. A smaller but well-equipped market is available at Käsnäs Harbour (20 min by boat).

While the islands provide all modern comforts, thoughtful packing will ensure a stress-free and enjoyable stay. Keep in mind that what you pack may depend on the season you are traveling, so consider the weather conditions during your visit. Relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and make the most of your island retreat!
