An island of diverse nature
Hägerö is defined by its scale and variety. Spanning 14 hectares with three kilometers of private shoreline, the terrain shifts from exposed granite cliffs to sheltered, shallow bays.
The residence is a contemporary addition to this untouched landscape. While the setting is secluded, the interior offers the functionality of a modern home. Underfloor heating, climate control, and modern bathrooms allow for a convenient stay, while the wood-fired fireplaces and sauna ground the experience in archipelago tradition. Floor-to-ceiling glazing connects the living spaces directly to the wilderness outside.
Designed with families and small groups in mind, the layout is intuitive. The main house features a master suite and a private guest bedroom upstairs, while a loft provides a flexible space well-suited for younger guests.

THE ISLAND
Until the completion of the residence last year, Hägerö remained entirely untouched. The architecture is deliberately concentrated on the northern shore, leaving the vast majority of the island in its natural state.
The immediate surroundings feature a dense forest, home to a colony of herons that nest annually in the high canopy. The island’s topography is distinct and varied: the eastern end is defined by rugged rock formations and a peninsula extending into the open sea, while the west consists of a series of capes and sheltered inlets, offering shifting views of both the coastline and the island’s interior.
