What is there to do on the islands?
Though your only task might be lighting the sauna fire, the archipelago offers countless ways to relax, explore, and reconnect—with nature and with yourself.
The Finnish Archipelago offers the perfect blend of nature, culture, and relaxation. Whether you're here to explore charming island villages, soak in a sauna, or enjoy fresh local seafood, there’s something for every type of traveler.
Island hopping
Finland’s 'Jokaisenoikeudet' (Everyone’s Right) allow access to any island without the landowner's permission, so long as visitors respect nature and private property. We can take you on personalized boat trips of the archipelago to explore both hidden gems and popular destinations, or you can rent our boat and explore the islands on your own time. Some of our favorite spots include:
- Bengtskär (20 min by boat) – The tallest and most beautiful lighthouse in the Nordics, with a fascinating history.
- Örö (10 min by boat) – An ex-military island with a guest harbor, restaurant, and stunning nature trails.
- Aspö (60 min by boat) – A charming island with a small village where you can buy fresh fish straight from the sea.

Fishing
For those interested in fishing, we can arrange a local guide to take you to the best spots in the area, or you can try your luck from the shore or with our rowboat. You can catch trout, zander, perch, and pike in the region, and sometimes salmon if you hit the season just right.
