An island of diverse nature
Perched on the border between the inner and outer archipelago, Prackstenen’s topography changes from a beautiful rocky shoreline to lush forests in the interior. The off-grid, self-sustained houses follow the path of the sun, with large, south-facing decks getting maximum sunshine in the day and the sauna and swimming area receiving the soft evening rays.
The houses are designed in the classic archipelago style and accented with modern touches such as wall-to-ceiling windows for beautiful views in every direction. The main house includes a spacious kitchen, a lounge and a covered terrace. For larger groups, the guest house provides separate, private accommodation with its own kitchen.
Prackstenen is suitable for groups of up to ten people, making it perfect for family gatherings or special getaways.

THE ISLAND
Prackstenen was without human traces until its buildings were were constructed a few years ago. The structures are all on the western side of the island, leaving the rocky, eastern side in its natural state.
Though located in the open sea, Prackstenen’s cabins and the shore nearby are protected from large waves by its east side and the surrounding islands. There are no neighbours visible from any direction.
FACILITIES
Although it’s off the grid, the island is self-sufficient and provides all the necessary comforts. Electricity is generated with solar panels and stored in a battery bank, while the drinking water is filtered from the sea.

Prackstenen Availability

Staying on a remote island requires time, travel, and coordination. Three nights is the the minimum we offer but we recommend longer stays to get the full benefits of island life. But be advised—the longer you stay, the less you’ll want to leave!
